And we move onto Friday. I've decided to write the entries in one day blocks, 'cause it's shorter that way.

We started off with said 7:00 am wake up call, and blearily felt our ways around the room for an hour as we tried to get dressed and ready for the day. At about 8:00, we left the room and went down to the Starbucks in the hotel for coffee, then came back up to put the finishing touches on Ellen's costume and fix my hair (let me tell you now - Winry's hair is a bitch to do). Shortly before 9:00, and with me complaining that we were gonna be late the whole time, we left for the Convention Center. As it turned out, we were, in fact, late - but so were the staff. Rather than opening the doors at 9:00 like they were supposed to, they opened them at 9:30. It was, at this point, that a massive rush of people ran up to the ballroom for the stickering pre-function for the L'arc~en~ciel concert. Luckily Piccolo and I walk quickly, and we were among the first thirty people to be stickered, so we walked in and walked out quickly.

Then Piccolo and I went to find the AMVs, but wound up at the Otaku no Video instead, which is a half-animated, half-"live interview" video about, you guessed it, the otaku. This is where I stop being able to remember things - because the next thing I remember is that Ellen and I are together, but we lost Piccolo, Yvonne, and Stephanie (who had been with Ellen). So Ellen and I decided to check out the Dealer's room, but the line was waaaaay too fuckin' long. So we went down to the Artist Alley instead, to see Fuu-chan. As that turned out, she wasn't there because she was at a panel (according to P-chan). We did meet up with Piccolo down there, however, and then went to see Fuu-chan at her Otazine panel. After that it was lunch time (the panel didn't end until 1:30 pm), and we found Stephanie and Yvonne, and went with P-chan to get pizza.

At 3:00 pm the Best of Red Apple JMVs started. (Red Apple being the company that both sub- and supertitles Jrock PVs in English and romanji.) It was basically a re-showing of most of the PVs that they showed last year, which had gotten a good reception from the people watching. Go!Go!7188, Dir en grey, Gackt, Ayumi Hamasaki, Utada Hikaru, Judy and Mary, The Brilliant Green, Crystal Kay, and Dragon Ash were among the bands featured. This lasted until 5:30. After that there was really nothing left to do, so we did wander our way into the Dealers Room for an hour or so, and then wandered back out to get dinner, which we had a bitch of a time finding. We eventually found our way to a semi-fastfood/diner type restaurant, and were there until 10:00 (we actually sat down at 8:30ish). Then we made a mistake - we went to see Battle Royale II.

Battle Royale is a good movie. Especially if you like movies in which everyone dies in rather creative ways - and the whole point of the movie is to see them die and see who gets out alive. Battle Royale II is not a good movie. It took the premise of Battle Royale (to see everyone die), and tried to put a meaning behind it. One mother who was sitting in front of myself, Piccolo, P-chan, and Ellen as we watched decided that it was an anti-war message to the US. ::shrug:: I didn't see the message in it; I just saw Shuya getting shot in the back three times, in the side a couple of times, in the arm once or twice, and still living. The movie ended at 12:00, so we trooped back to the hotel room, where, once again, we were all up until 2:30 because Stephaine and Yvonne went raving and didn't come back until 1:00, and then wanted to shower. I played Zelda ^_^
