I saw this on [livejournal.com profile] honooko's journal, and had to try it. According to the three most recent things I've posted at [livejournal.com profile] typesetpress...

I write like
Dan Brown

I Write Like by Mémoires, Mac journal software. Analyze your writing!

(Which really makes me want to stab myself in the eye.)

I write like
Stephen King

I Write Like by Mémoires, Mac journal software. Analyze your writing!

And...

I write like
J. D. Salinger

I Write Like by Mémoires, Mac journal software. Analyze your writing!

And when I put in the entire text of Right Back to You (as yet unfinished but close to getting there)...

I write like
Jack London

I Write Like by Mémoires, Mac journal software. Analyze your writing!

In conclusion, this writing analysis seems to think I should be rolling in cash. HOW I WISH.

It could be worse. It could be Stephanie Meyer. (Not that you write like her, obviously.)

That is very true. I'd have to stab myself in the eye and then gouge it out if I wrote like her.

I think if you write like her, the eye-removal has already happened. It's the only explanation for that level of crap: BLINDNESS.

Bahaha, everyone I've seen who got Dan Brown has had the same reaction. I almost feel bad for the guy! Almost ... no, wait, he's rich and i'm not. Boo.

If he'd only stop pretending that what he writes is fact, I wouldn't have to much of a problem with him. Even I enjoy a good conspiracy-theory-fodder book every now and then. XD

Yep, that's the problem I have with him too. And at least his books don't feature glittery vampires -_-

I got Dan Brown for my werewolf story. I got James Joyce for my journal, which makes me want to kill babies.

Take heart, it means you still have a brain. I didn't even think to do my journal, and frankly I don't want to - it might actually turn out to be Stephanie Meyers and then I'd have to jump off a bridge.

True. If I got Stephanie Meyer, someone would die. In other news, the fact that I got an author I loathe doesn't fill me with pride.

No, I imagine it wouldn't. Though if it's any comfort, I have never once read your journal and thought 'this sounds like James Joyce', and I doubt anybody else would.

I'm amused that everybody seems to be getting either Stephen King or J.D. Salinger. XD Or Chuck Palahniuk.

Also! I found out that I'm going to be in Kobe, which means that it miiiight not be that easy to meet up, but I will be in Tokyo for the three-day orientation soon. I really wish I had an outline of the schedule for those three days, because I think that'd be a good time to get in touch if you're free then.

LOL! Well, I do know someone who got Douglas Adams, so I guess there's something to be said for it. XD

KOBE! I send waves of envy at you, madam! If you're in Tokyo any time between the 21 and 27 of July, I might be able to make it down to Tokyo. Otherwise I'm working, "in training", or I'm heading back for vacation.

I would not mind getting Douglas Adams as a result! Incidentally, I did end up c&p'ing a story of mine into the analyzer, and it told me I write like William Gibson. Wha...!?! XD

Yes, I will be there before the 27th! I'll know more my schedule in the upcoming week, I think -- would you be able to make plans then?

I imagine I would be. From the 23 to the 27 I have nothing set in stone, so to meet up in Tokyo would be easily arrangeable. And I will envy at you for your Kobe.

Awesome! I will let you know, then, as soon as I can.

I got Chuck Palahniuk, for more than one text sample!
