So it's been a while, hasn't it? I technically have internet, but until my charger arrives (supposedly tomorrow) I have to use it on my TV. If you've never used TV internet - it's a fucking pain in the ass. It takes fifteen minutes to write a five sentence e-mail, because you have to do it on the remote. I don't recommend it.

Anyway.

Training took place in the mountains of Fukushima, so internet access was impossible even if I'd borrowed someone's laptop. (As it is, I'm on Giovanni's laptop - the only thing I've liked about this experience has been being placed with someone from training.) I'll post pictures as soon as I can set up my own laptop, promise.

Joytalk, while they seem a nice company, is incredibly disorganized. They clearly wanted to keep the training to a week to look good for the Boards of Education - we could have done all our training in three days for all we actually did. Coming back from it wasn't much better - the plans to have the train lists and to be met by people at the trains were scrapped because e-mails didn't come and papers weren't given, etc., etc. The whole thing has been really worrying, really. But things seem to be settling a bit.

I'll have more to update with as soon as I can use my own laptop. 'Til then.

She liiiiives! Fukushima, eh? That's hella far away. But my friend lives/lived there so I want to visit one day. I have never heard of this Joytalk company... must be a small up and comer?

My final placement is Maebashi, Gunma. It's really cold and I'm really far from any train station, which sucks. Joytalk is small but I don't think it's that new. Either way it doesn't excuse the total lack of organization.

If they have been around a while, they should have a system in place that works. If they are new, they should know better. Welcome to Japan.

Oh my gosh, *squishy* I have been thinking about you. I was hoping things were going well for you, but hopefully as things get less scattered, it will improve.

Stay safe and try to have fun ♥

Hi there~! *squishes*

Things have definitely improved over the last couple days. I'm so sorry I didn't reply earlier - I spent so much time working through the mind-numbing process of typing out just a few comments on the remote that I would give up after them, and I haven't gotten around to all the old entries that need comments.

Thanks for thinking of me <3 Fun is being had now that work has started and I have a routine. Now I need to find the baseball schedule and try to get to a game.

I am probably going to kill them in their sleep, if it brings you any comfort.

It will bring me comfort only if I can join you. I still don't have my visa, and it looks like my schools are starting late, too. I desperately need to cash my checks, but I'm entirely reliant on GJ for transport anywhere other than family mart, and he's gone all the time. The whole thing sucks.

ILU AND MISS YOU AND GLAD YOU ARE SO NOT DEAD.

What happened with your laptop charger, btw? *headtilt*
