Jul. 13th, 2004 08:36 pmALL STAR GAME BEGINS!!! YEEEEHAAAAWWWWW! Clemens is pitching to Piazza X3 Should be very interesting. Will update again when I finishi watching.
[Edit #1] Bloody brilliant: Soriano *and* Ramirez both homer to start off the game. Thus the American League leads 6 to nothing by the bottom of the first inning. The National League barely gets a chance to get in one run before the pitcher strikes out Piazza - and it figures it would be him, 'cause he jumps at just about every pitch. Ah, I love baseball. I feel kinda bad for Clemens, though. Poor guy is pitching for the National League against all his former teammates, and damn but is he having a tough time of it.
[Edit #2] So the National League has gone through their two starters, and are onto their third pitcher of the evening. The American League just started warming up their second. The game remains at 6-1, and I am very, very, very happy. That's all that really needs to be said about the game. It's good to see Soriano again.
[Edit #3] Did I forget to mention: American League home field advantage, baby! As it has been for the last nine years, the American League team in the World Series will have home field advantage. Now we're just waiting for the Yankees to get there again.
