Bah, getting my hair done always takes forever. Sometimes I think I should cut it off just to make it a shorter time sitting in a chair. Then I realize that I'd probably kill myself later because I'd miss my hair. Eh.

*celebrate* Holiday shopping is almost done! I went out and spent about four hours wandering around the Union Square tent set-up yesterday, so despite hurting feet I was quite productive and can relax until the holidays start. This is pleasing.

Tomorrow I go to see A Chorus Line with my grandmother. This will include lunch at Ollie's, the best Chinese restaurant in Times Square. The show is two and a half hours or so and has no intermission. It should be interesting to see what they've done since it's a revival and the times have changed so much since it first opened. Grandmother's been raving about it since she heard about its reopening.

check out the color!

I feel the pain of the forever-ness of getting the hair done. The guy who does my hair now doesn't take that long to trim it. I remember getting it done as a kid, they'd try to section it all off and cut one part at a time, and it was BRUTAL because I have so much tightly curled hair and would take hours! It still takes about two hours for me to get my hair completely done now, but that's with coloring the roots, glazing the ends, having to cook under the dryer for about twenty minutes, then washing/conditioning, THEN the cut and style. So I do it to myself :p

The really silly thing is that I don't even have curly hair - just a ton of it. It used to be even longer than it is now (for me short is about four inches past my shoulders). But man, I can only imagine how long it must take with curly hair :0 I used to do my hair myself, but I was slowly killing my hair and my stylist did such a good job that I've been going to her for about six years now.

I used to get it straightened too, but even having it straight...I know how long it can take when you just have a LOT of hair! Plus, you still have to blow dry it and curl the ends and whatever else. Curly can sometimes be easier. It's all or nothing. Just put your hair stuff in when it's wet, and you're either good to go or it's frizzy and you go with the ponytail ;)

Four inches past the shoulders is pretty long to me! Mine...hm, mine might get that long if it were straightened out. Curly, the longest layers go maybe an inch past my shoulders, and the other layers go up from there. But the shortest layers are still long enough to go in a ponytail. That's always my criteria. I could never chop my hair off because I like the option of just saying "screw it" and tossing it up in a lazy bun for the day :p

And your color is AWESOME! I actually have a color close to that as the highlights in my hair ;)

Seeing your hair makes me miss my long hair...i chopped it off like a year ago...and now it's 3 inches from my shoulders. *sob* Hair takes sooo long to grow. Let me tell you curly hair that is short is hell.

Love the color btw....

Once when I was young and my mother still came with me to get things like hair-cuts, she decided that I'd be cute with short hair. So she tells the lady to chop it off, and the next thing I know my hair goes from being all the way down my back to right under my ears. I was not a happy child, and yeah, hair takes waaaay too long to grow. This is why I will never be able to cut it short again.

Thanks :D

Haha, I forgot. All final hair decisions must be left to you, right? ;P I'm rather fond of the new color, myself.

Yes, all final hair decisions. I'm thinking magenta, next.

The color is pretty nifty. Hmmm, maybe I should go back to doing red streaks. This gives me much to think about.

Isn't it? It takes forever, but it always looks pretty cool in the end. Heheh, maybe I'll start a trend of red hair among my lj friends :P

*laughs* True. On the other hand, my hair is nowhere near as long as yours. So probably won't cost as much in dyes alone.

Ooh! When we have tea, I might have to snack on your hair.

Hahaha, well, you can snack on it, but I don't think it would taste very good.
