BOOK MEME
1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next 3 sentences on your blog along with these instructions.
5. Don't you dare dig for that "cool" or "intellectual" book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest.
Tsarmina stood at her high chamber window, watching the perimeter of the woodland where the trees thinned out into shrubs and bushes. There they were, at last!
The ragged columns tramped out of the woodlands with Cludd bawling orders at them.
I think everyone who knows me and what I like to read should be able to figure out which book was closest when I grabbed - and I truly did grab. Ah, memes. What a fine way to begin my return to the computer - which I have not been on for nearly a week. I have gone through an amazing lack of withdrawl, however. It gives one hope for the future in a really not actually caring sort of way.
In other news I really cannot wait for my working days of the summer to end. If I have to listen to my "supervisor" complain about me (I have no name, you see, I am only The Intern, and The Intern does everything wrong and how dare she leave every day at 5:30 even though that is when her day is done), I cannot be held accountable for my actions. Feh.

Date: 2006-08-04 03:13 pm (UTC)Seriously, what kind of excuses are those? Work sucks for the low man on the totem pole, but at least we can set fire and run before the others smell the smoke, ne?
