HAPPY BIRTHDAY
hikarineko!!! Welcome to the Old People's Club. Hope you have/had a wonderful time of it.
In other news, I now have tickets to the Dir en grey concert (well, rather, they're opening for Korn) in September. :dies of excitement:
And to complete my life: http://movies.about.com/od/moviesinproduction/a/historyby061005.htm
This is possibly the single best play I've seen on Broadway. It's even better than Doubt, which I adored. Richard Griffiths (probably best recognized as Vernon Dursley) and Frances de al Tour (you may recall having seen her as Madame Maxime in Goblet of Fire) are stunning - to say nothing of the History Boys themselves. The script manages to be both hilarious and thought-provoking as well, mixing glibness, cheek with philosophy and brilliant use of language ("How do you define history?" "It's just one fuckin' thing after another."). The fact that Alan Bennett will be adapting his own script for the big screen can only mean good things. Yes, my life is indeed complete.
