Jan. 6th, 2008 11:10 pmThey couldn't just let me come back to school without a fuss could they?
No, no. Too easy.
So instead, they cancel might second flight while I'm in the air during the first one. (It's lovely to walk to the departure board to check for your gate and read "cancelled", really.) Then they tell me they want to put me on a flight at 8:40 at night. On January 7th. They weren't even going to put me up. Then I find a few other Lawrentians and we all manage to get seats on a flight to Milwaukee, even though it means a two hour drive.
Then they decide I'm not allowed to have baggage. So our whole group to drive has to run through claims, eat airport food for dinner (because by then it was nearly 7:00), and drive two hours to Appleton in fog that looks like it came of a PS1 first-person POV shooting game. With huge fuck off trucks having machismo competitions and cars going past us and disappearing down the road (this is when it was clear, and mind you, we were still doing 65).
Yeah.
Fun.
