Apr. 24th, 2005 12:07 pmI find that the more I watch Onmyoji, 1 and 2, the more I like them. Corny they may be, but they could have been a lot worse. Ah well.
First day of Passover was, well, last night, technically. They actually had a Seder, with catered food and everything, at Lucinda's. The service went from 6:00 to 7:00. Our Chorale/Concert Choir/Women's Choir concert was also last night - and our call was 7:30. So, as one may infer from the times, there was just about no time for me to eat dinner at the Seder. I had enough time to eat a single piece of matzah covered in charoset and gulp down a bowl of matzah-ball soup and run to the Chapel, but that was about it. Which really sucks, because there was the promise of really, really good food before the Week of Starvation (named as such because there's really not much out here that I'm going to be able to eat). I'll have turned into a rabbit before the week is over from all the rabbit-food (read: salad) that I'm going to be eating. Murr.
I suppose it was worth missing half of dinner to get to the concert; there were some excellent songs performed. Three of them in Chinese, which were really cool, and an all-male piece from Georgia which made me extremely happy. I still say that Korean people everywhere started crying when we attempted to sing Kashiri, though they didn't know why they were crying at the time. We sounded ... um ... interesting.
