Last week was, somewhat annoyingly, eventful - and this week promises to be similar. I had to turn in a 5 page paper on a really stupid topic (the use of Chinese culture by other countries from 1000 to 1400) to my teacher last Thursday, and we have a last-day-quiz this Thursday. I have another 5 page paper due in Freshman studies on an even stupider topic - we're supposed to write 5 pages about a SINGLE LINE OF CRITISM on Hiroshige's prints. That's due this Friday, and before I can turn it in I have to go to peer tutoring tomorrow night. That's not including the kanji quiz this Thursday and finals next week.

Last Saturday our Japanese class had our version of a Hinamatsuri - it being our version as it was on the wrong day and didn't have the traditional dolls as a part of it. It was fun, though - we got to make our own sushi, so I can now make sushi for myself! We also did a little bit of Shoudo and origami.

Sunday the anime club got together to make buttons, stickers, and shuriken made of recycled paper, which we plan to sell tomorrow at lunch at our cafeterias. The making process in itself was fun, but I nearly threw out my knees kneeling on the floor over the paper-cutter for three hours because all the chairs were taken. I did bring my CDs, though, so we listened L'arc~en~ciel the whole time. It made me happy. And the buttons and stickers came out looking very good. The best part is the paper shuriken - The Lawrence University Anime Club: bringing anime and violence to campus. Good motto, no? XD
