Well ... that's, er, interesting ...

My soul will be owned by NDI (National Dance Institute) for the next week and one day, starting tomorrow. Joy. I must say that I think I'm pretty lucky, though, 'cause I'm only working wardrobe - there's usually not too much to do besides making sure the costumes are organized and whatnot. And I'm getting paid. Not sure how much exactly, but I've heard rumors of it being in the $300-$500 range - not bad by any standards all things considered. In fact, the only complaint I'm going to have is the food selection: Burger King, McDonalds, Ray Barry's pizza, Starbucks, Ollie's, cheaper Chinese-From-A-Place-I-Can't-Remember-The-Name-Of, Mama's (diner food), and really, really bad salad bar. Those are literally the only edible places that I could possibly make it to on time.

Here's where the crossing out comes in, though. Since seeing Super-size Me, I have become even more disgusted with fast food than I was before, and I am trying not to go anywhere near it. There go McDonald's and Burger King. Ollie's, while having some of the best Chinese food in New York, is expensive and takes a long time to make. Time is something I won't have very often, so I may only be able to get there once. Starbucks - great for coffee, totally over-priced for cheap Ceaser salads (which are not bad, but not wonderful). So I may only eat there once. The Cheap Chinese place is all right, but I'm not eating there every day. Mama's isn't that great either, considering its got all the same stuff that the fast food places have, just more expensive and better-cooked. I don't trust the really, really bad salad bar. So what am I left with? Ollie's, Ray Barry's, with a possibility of Mama's and the Cheap Chinese. This is when I decided to make my own dinners ::nods::

Now that I've bored you all to death with that, what else can I finish you off with? Friday Piccolo, Graham, Rey-Shawn (is that how you spell his name?), and I all went to China Town Fair. Haven't been there in ages - so it was uber-exciting to be back. Piccolo and I played Para-Para while waiting for Time Crisis to be freed up so we could both play (yes, we are hooked on both games). While playing, we bumped into Momo, which was awesome, 'cause I don't really get to talk to her all that often. She watched us play and laughed at us. Then Piccolo and I played Neo-Geo ('cause Time Crisis was still unavailable) - lemme tell you, after being spoiled by the wonderful new, smooth graphics of the FF games, Neo-Geo's pixil-ism was painful >_< But we played on regardless until Time Crisis was at last freed - I do so love shooting games ^_^ After that was a few rounds of Smash-n-Drive Taxi (yes, I am the uber-dork), which I did rather well at. To top it all off, we played the bubble-game. Until the score was Piccolo with 7 wins and me with 6 and we had run out of tokens. I will beat her XP

Did literally nothing yesterday except stay on the computer after waking up around 2. Today I went out with my dad and we played catch for about an hour around 6. I'm getting my arm control back, which pleases me muchly. The Yankees game was freakin' awesome! They were losing 2-0 in the bottom of the 9th, see, then out of nowhere, Matsui hits a homerun against the saver, Hoffman of the Padres. Next up is Kenny Lofton, who hits another homerun against Hoffman, tying the game and sending them into extra innings. They played until the 12th inning, both teams trying to keep/re-claim their leads, until finally the Padres load the bases by walking Matsui, hoping to get to Enrique Wilson. But Torre puts in Ruben Sierra, who's got better averages all around than Wilson, and he knocked in the winning run with a sac-fly. Needless to say, it was awesome. I feel kinda bad for David Wells, though - he'd pitched a shut-out until Hoffman allowed the two homeruns, and he may retire at the end of the year, so this was possibly his last round of pitching at Yankee Staduim. But hey, he shouldn't have been allowed to leave the Yankees, either.
