Newbie Alert
Sep. 6th, 2002 08:18 pmFinally, after a long and painful search I have found someone with ... the CODE. I am now the proud ... er ... owner? ... of a LiveJournal! *sighs* Figures, though, that I would finally get one at a time when I have no time to write in it. School's a b***h, folks, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
It is even moreso when you're a technical theater major in a school where no one cares about you. Seriously, I don't think people realize that without the tekkies (or techies, or tekies, however you want to spell it), there would be no show. I'd like to see a musical be put on without sound, lights, costumes, or a set. Heh, not gonna happen. We make all you actors and singers and dancers look good, dammit! Give us some love, too!
Aside from the fact that no one loves me, everything is good, though. I'm in a lunch period with five of my friends, in Japanese with three, in math and creative writing (also honors English 5) with two (different ones), and see the rest in hallways between periods. I'm also getting more heavily into art because of my new major, which is cool.
Got myself out of Rosh Hashana services tonight by promising to go to the Yom Kippur one at my Grandma's temple in the Bronx. It's awkward now, going to services of a religion I don't really believe in. I do think Judaism is by far the most logical and believeable out of all major organized religions, however, but I think that's more to do with the people than the actual belief system.
And on that note of awkward, I depart.
