So there's a movie due out for 2008 called What Happens in Vegas, which, if you can't guess, takes place in Vegas. It was, however, filming in New York about three weeks ago - I passed their equpiment trucks and trailers on my way to dad's office. Since the trucks were on a side street only two blocks away from the courts, I'm going to guess that 1) either Cameron Diaz or Ashton Kutcher (being the two main characters) is a lawyer/judge/court clerk on vacation in Vegas, or 2) that they come to New York for whatever reason (perhaps moving?) to settle their arguements.

Anyone wanna take bets?

Actually, The Bourne Ultimatum was set during what should have happened at the end of The Bourne Identity. Because TBS the Book was set in Beijing and Hong Kong and Kowloon, mostly, and absolutely none of the movie was, it doesn't make sense for them to pretend to be true to the book anymore.

At the end of Identity he was supposed to create general chaos in New York? Then what did he do with his time in the next two?

At the end of Identity, he came back to New York to find out where it all started - which is actually in New York, up by 72nd street, if I remember right. The whole organization is exposed, he finds out his real name, gets married to Marie (who is not a German ditz but a French-Canadian government official). In Supremacy, Marie is kidnapped by the American government saying that they're a big time Chinese crime lord of some sort, because they need her to be the bait for Bourne so that Bourne will kill a bunch of people in China for them.

I'm not entirely sure what Ultimatum is about because I haven't read it yet. I just know that they didn't bother actually adapting them properly.

That goes far beyond improper adaptation, into the realm of Constantine. The movie people took a badass chain-smoking unrepentant English magician and con man and made him a surly half-ass American exorcist with a sidekick. Played by Keanu Reeves. They didn't even pronouce "Constantine" right.

Yeah, it's really not cool. I try to view the movies and books as entirely different things that happen to share titles and characters.

Sometimes that's best for one's peace of mind.
